ESG at Goodpack

Driving a Positive Change

Goodpack focuses on providing sustainable and innovative packaging solutions. We recognize the importance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and have taken steps to integrate ESG considerations into our business processes.

Decarbonizing your supply chain

At Goodpack, we are committed to working together with our customers in their sustainability journey, throughout their entire supply chain.

Environmental sustainability

Goodpack is committed to the safe and secure storage and transportation of raw materials and products essential in today’s commerce and economic development. We are invested in ensuring our communities, environment and people are protected, in a safe, secure, and sustainable way. We provide sustainable solutions and accountability to mitigate the impact of climate change.

The shipping industry is responsible for significant carbon dioxide emissions annually. Traditional one-way and single use packaging materials, such as wooden or plastic pallets, cardboard or wooden crates and metal drums contribute greatly to these emissions. Moreover, they offer only limited payload protection during shipment, which may result in additional wastage if products get damaged. The reusability and robustness of Goodpack solutions therefore generally offer a more sustainable performance.

To address the resulting impact on the environment, we at Goodpack commissioned a Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) to understand and measure the carbon footprint of our reusable intermediate bulk containers.

This life cycle assessment of the environmental impact of using Goodpack’s pallet-sized containers compared to alternative packaging, demonstrated clear environmental benefits for shipping different products through multiple shipping lanes.

Social responsibility

Goodpack has organized various initiatives, focused around sustainability and communities. For example, our teams around the world have:

  • raised funds to help HIV infected orphans and abandoned AIDS patients
  • collected and donated food and educational materials to underprivileged children and educated them on creating awareness to preserve the environment and be a good citizen
  • visited and provided financial support to elderly care centers
  • contributed towards donating clothes to infants from low-income single-parent homes
  • provided hygiene support to low-income women and vulnerable members of the population
  • supported disaster management teams by preparing and packaging home delivery kits and disaster boxes
  • participated in beaches and parks clean-ups
  • supported wildlife conservation efforts

In addition, and as part of our continual efforts to contribute to society, Goodpack is committed to ensuring fair labor practices throughout its supply chain. We have implemented policies and SOPs that include guidelines for good working conditions, human rights protection, and environmental best practices. Furthermore, we believe in supporting the personal and professional development of our employees by making available various trainings and education programs online and at our very own Goodpack University to promote safety, diversity, and inclusion.
