SINGAPORE — July 16, 2018 — Goodpack Limited, a global network operator and leader in returnable container based supply chain solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexander Tan as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”). He relocates to Singapore for the role, which is effective immediately.
Mr. Tan brings to Goodpack more than 20 years of international financial management experience spanning a career in both Asia and Europe. He joins Goodpack from Midea Group in China, where he was the CFO of the company’s international business.
Prior to Midea, Mr. Tan spent nearly 15 years at Philips Lighting, where he elevated to the role of CFO of ASEAN Pacific after holding senior financial roles for the company in Singapore, Hong Kong and China. He previously held financial management roles at Unilever and Heineken, both in the Netherlands.
A native Dutch speaker, Mr. Tan holds an industrial engineering and management degree from Eindhoven University of Technology. He continues to be a member of the supervisory board of KUKA AG in Germany.
Eric Gregoire, CEO of Goodpack, said, "We are thrilled to have an experienced executive of Alexander’s calibre join our leadership team. With an impressive career spanning both Asia and Europe, he brings a wealth of valuable expertise to our company. His focus and leadership will be an asset as Goodpack continuously looks to enhance our services and offerings worldwide, in line with our motto of Speed, Scale, and Predictability.”
"I am excited to return to Singapore and join a company with such an outstanding reputation and established presence in the worldwide supply chain solutions market,” added Mr. Tan. “Goodpack has a unique mission to deliver efficient and integrated supply chain solutions that take both commercial and environmental considerations into account. I look forward to working with Eric and the entire global team to advance this focus and elevate Goodpack as a best-in-class supply chain solutions provider.”
Mr. Tan’s appointment comes as Goodpack continues to enhance its offerings and connectivity to customers worldwide. As part of this effort, Goodpack today also announced the relaunch of its corporate website at www.goodpack.com. The revamped site offers a new, fresh look and improved functionality for website visitors.
The relaunch is in line with Goodpack’s broader push towards business digitization as it expands into new markets — including food, chemicals and tires — and adopts enhanced data- and analytics-based solutions to better serve customers worldwide.
“Our refreshed website goes above and beyond answering ‘Who is Goodpack’. It will allow us to better engage with customers’ and articulate our innovation capabilities aimed at transforming the global supply chain industry. The website reinforces our commitment to serving customers in new segments by establishing industry standards, and illustrates how Goodpack provides a unique end-to-end supply chain solution that can be seamlessly integrated into the world’s most extensive distribution networks,” said Lester Tyra, Senior Vice President, Global Sales Operations and Marketing at Goodpack.
