1. What are IBC and what is it used for?

IBC is an acronym for intermediate bulk containers. IBC are generally used for the storage and transportation of bulk cargo. The Goodpack® IBC is designed for packing and transporting solid, liquid and powder cargo.

2. What is Returnable Packaging?

The Goodpack® IBC is a form of returnable packaging that is designed for repeated use. Once cargo that has been packed in an IBC are emptied, the IBC is cleaned, inspected and readied for reuse again. In this way, the IBC can be reused safely, resulting in significant cost savings and minimising wastage.

For Liquid Cargo: Goodpack® IBC are designed to pack up to 1400 litres or 370 US gallons of cargo.

For Solid Cargo: Goodpack® IBC are designed to pack up to 1550 KGs or 3410 pounds of cargo.

Depending on the IBC type, a 40-foot HC container can fit between 176 and 224 nested IBC.

When filled, 16 IBC fit perfectly into a standard ISO 20-foot container for efficient transportation.
